BestPoker in Visby 2007

On July 21st, 2007, BestPoker cordially invited their Platinum Members to a weekend of sun, beach and partying in one of the most famous Summer islands in Scandinavia: Visby, Gotland.

Around 30 BestPoker Platinum members and BestPoker crew started the day out on Saturday by meeting in front of the famous Burmeister Club. Once the players got acquainted, we headed over to Kallis - a famous beach party. BestPoker quickly got the party started with scores of shots and mixed drinks.

We then moved over to a private table and popped around 45 bottles of champagne as the Platinum Party got off to an incredible start.

After the beach party we all headed over to our hotels and got ready fro the Platinum Party at Brumeister. We ordered a 15 liters champagne bottle and a bunch of drinks as BestPoker’s Platinum members partied the night away in what will surely be remembered as the Best party we have ever organized.

Best party for Erik Friberg!

On Friday, the 25th of August BestPoker threw a party for Erik Friberg and his climb at the WSOP main event to the final table. The festivities began around 10 pm inside Cafe Opera. Players and friends arrived and the mingling around the buffet lasted till around 11.

After the buffet, BestPoker took the party to the outside tent at cafe Opera where champagne and drinks were waiting. The party got off to a fantastic start as Erik and the other players got acquainted.

BestPoker's staff were also in attendance and got to meet a lot of players they had only spoken with through phone or MSN. After about an hour of the get-to-know-stuff, BestPoker partied into the night.

BestPoker's One Year Anniversary Party In Båstad, Sweden.

BestPoker.com celebrated their one year anniversary this past weekend with some of their best players and closest business associates in Båstad, Sweden. First and foremost we would like to extend a special and very sincere "Thank you" to all who took the time to show up and whom all made the one year anniversary party an incredible success!

The weekend started on Thursday as BestPoker.com was head sponsor of the back tent to Pepe's Bodega called "Papagayo." The tent was reserved for top VIP's, BestPoker's clients and BestPoker players only. The weekend got off to an incredible start as the party lasted into the night overlooking the beautiful waters and sunset of Båstad, Sweden.

On Friday, BestPoker held a special VIP Freeroll Tournament in the tent on the beach with 50 players. Some of the Bestpoker.com staff joined the tournament, but they were no match for the heavy hitting players at the tables, and the BestPoker staff was quickly eliminated. The tournament was accompanied by a Italian buffet with beer and wine.

The final table at the tournament generated a huge crowd, as markoolio went all in pre-flop. Finally, Flaxarne called him, and Markoolio showed a King/Queen off and eventually won with that hand. Later we asked Markoolio why he went all in twice, preflop, without looking at his cards, he replied "Because I was short stacked, and i know that Flaxarne is a great player. I thought if i take a few chances, and play really outside the lines, I might get lucky and double up so i can play my game." His theory proved right (and VERY lucky) as he won the tournament.
